Regular exercise: At least 30 minutes most days of the week.
Weight loss if overweight or obese: Losing weight can help lower blood pressure.
Quit smoking: Smoking is a major risk factor for high blood pressure.
Limit alcohol consumption: Drink alcohol in moderation or abstain from alcohol.
